The Way to Get into the Junk folder using webmail

When you have configured your accounts with SpamAssassin and its own Spam Box feature, SpamAssassin directs email it flags as spam to the Spam Box at a folder called Spam. If you’re a HostPapa webmail user (Horde, RoundCube, and SquirrelMail), then you might need to subscribe to the Spam folder (sometimes called Junk) so as to see it from the webmail interface.

Refer to the directions below to subscribe to access the Spam/Junk folder into your webmail interface.

Horde webmail

To subscribe to and access the Spam folder in Horde:

Log in to cPanel and go into the Email section.

Click on the Mail Accounts icon to start the Email Accounts page.

About the Mail Accounts page, scroll down to the listing of email accounts. Open webmail to your email account you’re setting: select Access Webmail and click on the More dropdown.

The Webmail page opens in a new tab. Click Horde webmail to start.

In the Horde folder panel, click the Folder Actions dropdown and click the Show All Mailboxes item.

The Spam folder now appears in the folder .

Open the Spam folder settings menu and choose Subscribe. On a PC, right-click the junk folder and choose Subscribe. On a Mac, hold the Ctrl key down and Choose Subscribe.

Once the Subscribe to spam? Window pops open, click on the Subscribe to all folders of spam checkbox and click OK.

The spam folder now appears in the normal Horde email folders list. To access the spam folder, click it. Any junk email will appear from the emails list on the ideal side of the display.

RoundCube webmail

In RoundCube, the spam folder is known as Junk by default. To get the Junk folder in RoundCube:

Log in to cPanel and proceed into the Email section.

Click the Mail Accounts icon to open the Email Accounts page.

On the Mail Accounts webpage, scroll down to the list of email accounts. Open webmail to your email account you are setting: click the More dropdown and choose Access Webmail.

In the RoundCube folder panel, the Junk mail folder is dispersed by default. Spam Box will place spam email .

SquirrelMail webmail

In SquirrelMail, the junk folder is dispersed by default. To get the spam folder in SquirrelMail:

Log into cPanel and go into the Mail section.

Click on the Email Accounts icon to start the Email Accounts page.
